The Brass Throne T72 to T74

Skaljv and his host of 100 Valkyries were ready. The day had come and he was tasked to land the first strike. While he was flying unseen over enemy territory, 6 Vanjarls rode the clouds and struck the Throne and its vicinity.

These raids met all expectations and when Skaljv troops finally landed on the Throne, it was already fully secured. With the neighbourhood under control, the enemy would not be able to launch any counter-attack … everything was going as planned.

But, suddenly some bad news came from the neighbouring fortress of Ephesibor. Friedleif the Vanjarl had successfully blown up its external defenses and was in the process of blockading it, to prevent any enemy to make a sortie to the Throne. But an army of Ulm that had been fighting the Giants was making a strategic repositionning through the stronghold. Their surprise to meet there a warrior of Helheim was quite unexpected, and they didn’t really like it …

Friedleif was ready to fight small forces, but had not planned to battle a full force with mage support. He tried his best but was soon overwhelmed by fire elementals that burnt him to death …

Skaljv wasn’t satisfied : that meant that a decent enemy army was able to make a move on the Throne. As a result, he decided to claim the Throne in advance, so that if a battle became necessary, his life would be expendable.

Thankfully, the powerful Earth magic focused by the Troll King in Helheim created an impregnable fortress to protect the Throne. The sight of the spell was impressive : without warning the earth started to move as One and in a matter of minutes took the form of a mighty citadel. Just like that. The troops, aware of their precarious situation in the middle of enemy territory greeted this display of magic with many cheers and manned the fort with determination.

As expected, the enemy counter-attack occured … only to meet the magics walls, stopping them in their assault and forcing them into a long, lengthy siege …

And that was it. The Brass Throne was Lord Kall’s territory and thanks to Skaljv faith, another piece to his Lord’s Ascension to power. 1 claimed, 3 to go.
